She is a Brevard native she has spent most of her life here. She is a graduate of Brevard High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in marketing. She also has an extensive background in education and financial counseling. She received her real estate training at the Cumbie and Trull School of Real Estate.

Her interests include mountain biking as well as wake surfing, and other water sports. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Rick, daughter Charlie, and their two dogs Cleo and Molly.
